I had a very jaded opinion of him until I watched his "Diary of the Grizzly Man" video series. He DID have an extraordinary relationship with the bears...and ESPECIALLY the foxes. The old, rogue 28 y/o grizzly that killed them was NOT one of the bears he knew...it was a HUNGRY, desperate mangy old bear who overtook his campsite. He should have LEFT way before he did because his "friend" bears were already starting hibernation. He left a treasure trove of videos and over 10K photographs and we should remember him for that.

We grew up in the country surrounded by woods and i remember it was the Springtime that we had to watch out for rabid animals. I remember my mother came home from work and a skunk began chasing her around the house. It chased anybody that tried to get out of the car. My grandpa had to come down and shoot it. Its a terrible way for any animal or human to go.
